CAIC to host Clawmeet meetup in Colombo focused on AI agents and OpenClaw

Colombo AI Conclave says its next community meetup will bring together builders and operators around practical AI agent demos, OpenClaw experimentation, and local ecosystem discussion.

Colombo AI Conclave says it will host a community meetup in Colombo later this month focused on AI agents, OpenClaw, and the local experimentation beginning to form around them.

The event, called Clawmeet, is being organised in partnership with Donely and AI3X Technologies, CodeGen's agentic AI subsidiary. It is scheduled for 30 April at the CodeGen office at TRACE Expert City in Colombo.

According to the organisers, the programme will focus on practical ClawBot use cases, live demonstrations, hands-on OpenClaw experimentation, and broader discussion around agent-based platforms. Registration and networking are set for 5:00 PM to 5:30 PM, followed by demos, a panel discussion, refreshments, and extended community discussion.

The announced participant list includes Dasun Athukorala of AI3X Technologies, Dulith Hearth of Kapruka, Rukmal de Silva of 361 Training, Harsha Abegunasekara of Donely, and Chamaru Amasara of Donely, alongside other contributors expected to showcase applications and experiments built around OpenClaw and related systems.

On its own, an event listing is not a major story. What makes Clawmeet notable is the kind of community activity it points to. Sri Lanka's AI conversation is increasingly moving beyond broad enthusiasm and into practical builder-led discussion around how agent systems can be used, tested, and demonstrated in public.

That does not by itself prove a broad ecosystem shift. But it does suggest there is enough local interest around AI agents to support gatherings aimed at founders, builders, operators, and enthusiasts who want to compare notes on what these tools can actually do.

Clawmeet is invitation-only, and media attendance is subject to prior RSVP and confirmation.
